Loudoun County's Newest Vineyard & Winery
Passion & Family
You could start a vineyard and winery from scratch because it’s cool. We did it because we're passionate about it. We love that good wine and food brings family and friends together to share stories and laughter. We love the mountain views, crisp clean air, neighboring farms and vineyards in the valley below. Visit us, become our friends, have some of our wine, and you’ll get it too.
This white wine is named after our maternal grandmother, was produced in 2017 from Petit Manseng grapes from our leased vineyard, and was aged in stainless steel, no oak, for about 6 months. Its refreshing, citrusy, and perfect on a warm summer day. It pairs well with seafood, chicken, and lighter cheeses. Enjoy.
Nick-named after the Murphy side of our family (including my wife), this white wine was produced in 2017 from Chardonnay grapes from our leased vineyard and was aged about 6 months in stainless steel, no oak. It's bright, fruit forward, citrusy, and a wonderful (we think) warm weather wine. It pairs well with fish, chicken, shellfish, lighter cheeses, or nothing at all. Enjoy.
Our lightest red and a Bordeaux blend, named for the family, produced by us in 2016 from Merlot (the largest component wine), Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from our leased vineyard. Smooth, easy to drink, red fruits, mild tannins, aged 12 months in French oak. Pairs well with lighter dishes, fish, chicken, shrimp, crab, small plates, fruits, milder cheeses.
Our bolder red Bordeaux blend, named for this vineyard/winery undertaking, our next chapter, produced by us in 2016 from Cabernet Sauvignon (the largest component wine), Petit Verdot, and Merlot grapes from our leased vineyard. Smooth, round in the mouth, deep red color, black and red fruits, aged 12 months in new French oak. Pairs well with heavier dishes, beef, stronger cheeses, and chocolate.
Gold medal winner in the 2018 Virginia Wineries Association Governor's Cup competition. Credit for this award must be shared with our family, and our friends, especially Isabelle Truchon and Sebastien Marquet, SMIT and Company, LLC, d/b/a Burgundy Style, and Maggie and Mark Malick, Maggie Malick Wine Caves LLC.
Our BA red wine (if you don’t know “BA”, ask us), named for our late father, produced by us in 2016 from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from our leased vineyard. Smooth, round in the mouth, great finish, deep red color, black fruits, aged 12 months in new French oak. Think steak, bleu cheese, and chocolate.
