We will be open for business during the Hillsboro Road Project and you will be able to reach us directly using route 9 (Charles Town Pike) or by using local or regional detours around Hillsboro. We will update this page as the Hillsboro Road Project develops.
The Town of Hillsboro, east of us, has undertaken a road construction project that began in March 2020. The project is expected to substantially complete in Spring 2021.
If you are located North or West of the Town of Hillsboro (in WV, MD, VA, or PA): you are not affected by the Hillsboro road project and can reach us directly using route 9.
If you are located East of the Town of Hillsboro and normally use route 9 heading West to reach us: you will be able to reach us directly during our normal operating hours (Friday-Sunday) using route 9 through the Town of Hillsboro on most Fridays-Sundays. Proceed with care and at slower safe speeds through the Town as the westbound single lane of travel on route 9 in the Town is a construction zone.
Late in 2020 or in early Spring 2021, route 9 within the Town Hillsboro may be fully closed to traffic. During full road closure periods, you can reach us using a local detour or a regional detour around the town.
The local detour from route 9 (heading West) is: left turn onto Hillsboro Road; right turn at roundabout onto Allder School Lane; right turn onto Woodgrove Road; left turn onto Cider Mill Road (if permitted) or right turn onto Stoney Point Road; left turn back onto route 9 and proceed to our farm winery on route 9.
The regional detour from route 7 bypass (Harry Byrd Highway, heading West) is: right exit from route 7 bypass onto W. Loudoun Street (also called business route 7); right turn onto Evening Star Drive; right turn onto Woodgrove Road; stay on Woodgrove Road until Cider Mill Road; left turn onto Cider Mill Road (if permitted) or right turn onto Stoney Point Road; left turn back onto route 9 and proceed to our farm winery on route 9.
